I've recently purchased a Navman ICN520 and have installed the latest safety camera data base and bit maps. The data base works fine and although I've been able to associated a custom bit map to represent each camera type, unfortunately the option to associate a custom sound to each or even all of the custom POI's doesn't appear to exist. Instead the system uses a simple chime to indicate proximity to a custom POI. I think this is a serious omission by Navman. Does anybody no of a way around this problem either through manual manipulation of the data files contained in the Navman 520 directory or otherwise. Thanks PAD |

Thanks for this. I'll keep an eye out for future software updates for the ICN510.

Firstly i must say HELLO to everyone here, Just recently become a member after gaining valuable information that resulted in making MY mind up on which gps system to purchase,
Hi PAD,
Are you still looking for a method/way of associating sound files to your custom POI on the icn 520
I have just recently purchased the navman icn 520 myself and have just installed the speed camera data files onto my machine and have managed to assign a custom sound file to the speed camera file(s) although i must stress at this moment in time the sound file(s) im using is not a celebrity one, But one of the sound files that comes in the zip file from the GPS speed camera download,
If your still in need just ask, I will be more than happy to help. |

Hi G-Acro
Yes, I'm certainly still very interested in being able to assign custom sound files to my custom POI's on the ICN520.
Thanks

Just posting to say that Dilemma's instructions worked for my iCN520 using the standard WAV files in the download which varies for each camera type (bus, speed & red light). |
