|
|
Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum so please excuse me if this is a silly question. I have Tom Tom 5 on my PDA currently with the UK map. However, I wish to install the France map onto it as well and store both at the same time, so that I can switch between the two when I need to. The SD card has sufficient space but if I just put both folders into the root directory, it fails to read any maps.
I dont want to mess about with it as I'm not sure what to do, so was hoping someone could direct me in how to do this please, as I really need both maps on there at all times if possible.
Thanks and Regards

when you copy the maps to the storage card make sure your Windows File Explorer does not hide any files (system files etc) _________________ Lutz

Hello, its odd because when I'm running just the uk map its fine, no problems at all. But its when I add the france map to it, then they both are recognised. I can run one but not both. It really odd. I will try your suggestion by making sure all hidden files are copied over, as it could be that.
Has anyone else had any similar problems?

You will not be able to run both maps at the same time
(you aren't going to be in both countries at the same time are you????)
You would have to swap the maps over in the Change Preference setting. _________________ -------------------------------------------------------

Hello, sorry think I didt explain myself properly, basically I want to store both maps on the card so that I can switch between the two when I need to. I dont want to use both maps at same time as I imagine that would be impossible. Just want to be able to store both on my sd card and switch from one to another. At the moment when I add the france map to the root directory tom tom fails to recognise either map. however, if I put in just the great britain map it picks it up okay on its own. Thanks |
