Hi!
Regarding the gpsmart with firmware version 2.23, palm tungsten t and mac iBook laptop, I would like to know more about waypoints, cables, and data.
Waypoints: I have added markers from the map view several times. Each time, they appear on the map, in the database, in the go-to select marker screen, and in the map delete marker screen.
If I turn the unit off for a day and then back on, the markers are still on the map, but they are gone from the database, go-to, and delete screens. Please help!
Cables: I got two cables with the unit. One was a hotsync cable for my palm and the other a gps-palm-car power connector. The hotsync cable worked about one of every three or four attempts I made to use it. The gps-palm-car cable would power both units, but I could not get the palm to receive data from the gps, not in quo vadis, nor CetusGps, nor grxView, nor PalmTerm.
I'm using Quo Vadis with bluetooth now quite happily, but not knowing what happened with the cable nags me.
Are there several sources for cables for the gpsmart, or are they only made by fortuna?
Data: I'd like to get waypoint and route data from the gps to my laptop. Is there a way to do this with the gpsmart? Is anyone working on ways to do this?
Thanks for your time reading this. I will appreciate any response.
