on to my second faulty i3. first had sound problems, the second switches off when selecting map view or when pressing back arrow key. seems to me that garmin are making these things fast enough to meet demand but the quality is lacking. pehaps i will be third time lucky!

Mines been fin,e was originally going to buy form Maplin, which I ordered but apparently according to Maplin got lost in post (Credit to Maplin I was compensated for the trouble). This was after waiting two weeks so cancelled and bought one from Dixons which has been fine so far, downloaded safety cameras and apart from a minor problem with alerts which was down to my own fault, has been brilliant no problems.
Do you keep getting replacement from same retailer? Maybe its just a bad batch or something. Maybe try getting a refund and buying else where. |

I had problems on first day I used it with locking up, but once I got home and updated software version no probs at all...
Only slight niggle I have is it shows battery power as full for ages then suddenly turns off voice prompts to save energy and about ten minutes later shuts down completly (but nearly all devices seem to show battery power wrong, how many times is it full for hours then suddenly drains last couple of bars in a hour or so?)
Not a prob though as I carry spares and they are chargeable in an hour for six hours life! |

Have you changed the type of battery from Alkaline to NiMH in Settings? |
