|
|
Hi
I have downloaded the full speed camera database including Speed Zoned Gatso Database.
The Files are now on the unit, but when I look at the map only the 30mph and 60mph Icons appear in the speed limit sign icon. The others 20mph, 40mph, 50mph & 70mph.....appear on the map...but only as the standard Speed camera icon.
Can I get them to appear as Speed limit signs like the 30mph and 60mph ones do?
I have enabled the relevant POI types and have also made sure that the .ov2 file has the same name as the .bmp file.
And when you look at the camera that is just appearing as a standard speed camera icon it does say the exact information e.g. GATSO: 3465 @40.
Its doing my nut in......help
Thanks

Have you still got either of the pocketgps_uk_gatso.ov2 or the pocketgps_uk_sc.ov2 files in the map folder? And the matching .bmp file? If so it may overlay the speed zoned ones.
Or have you added more than 27 PoI categories? _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

Sounds like that's exactly the problem, mate.
If you've got the "all in one" versions loaded as well as the speed-zoned ones, they will be sitting on top of eachother, and its a gamble which icon will show on top.
This has to be the most common confusion, I've been wondering if it's time to campaign for the layout of download package to be changed, because however many times the poor PocketGPS guys re-do the instructions, this crops up time and time again.
(Part of the problem is that the download has to be non-machine specific, but maybe there IS still a better way?) |

I found out that the easiest way to avoid confliction is when there is a camera download update, I remove all the old files from TT and then copy the new files back in to it to stop any confusion. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2699lmt
