what i did was download usb drivers and reboot pc, download poi loader, you will need this to load the speed camera's. download the software update. plug i3 into usb, the poi program should start, close it if you are going to update the software first. carry out software update as per instructions in file.

Doug: I bought my i3 from Maplin and it came with USB cable and USB drivers CD. The spiel on my box says i3, pre-programmed TransFlash, suction cup mount, 12-24 volt adapter cable, dashboard disk, USB interface cable, USB drivers CD, quick reference guide.
All were present in my box. If you didn't get the drivers CD, then complain - how are you going to connect to your PC without it?
Jeff.
All the leads came, it was only the CD that was missing and I picked up the USB driver from the Garmin site. What is on the CD other than the USB driver?
There have been a number of posts on here about the missing CDs and the consensus of opinion is that it's no big deal. FYI I got my i3 on the internet from Dixons.
Anyone else missing CDs and, if so, where did you purchase?
Sorry, I started a new thread about the CD, suggesting a poll. However, as everyone says there's nothing on there you can't download from the Garmin site.
