Problem with Spoken Warnings download for TomTom Navigator 5

Hi

I am having problems getting the spoken warnings to work on my PPC with TomTom Navigator 5. I have downloaded the data.chk file for my version which is 5.100 5160 and replaced the file on my SD card but the sounds are still the original beeps etc and have not been replaced with the spoken words.

Have I done anything wrong?

Just tried a soft reset and the sounds have not changed to voices.

Any more advice?

Hi Markjp,

Ensure that your PPC is backed up to your storage card (use Sprite Backup) and also ensure that your storage card is fully backed up (including read only and hidden files) to a folder on your PC. Then retry the instructions as found here.

You might have to put the data.chk file in My Device\Program Files\Navigator.

Do a search in Explorer and see if there is one in there already.
