Can we try and create a list of compatible phones. If you have a Tomtom 700 and been able to connect your mobile, can you add it to the list.
Thanks

I just bought a tomtom go 700 today very impressed, but it will not show me the phonebook in the mobile phone section.
I can connect through bluetooth and make calls and send texts messages, but cannot see the phone book, so i after type in the number by hand on screen which is annoying and you dont know the number of your head.
Other than that i rate the tomtom go 700.
steve
p.s
I use a nokia 6680 which just found out its not compatible.

I've tried my TTG 700 with a Nokia 6630 and 6310i and neither support Traffic and Handsfree at the same time, it's one or the other. |

I've got a samsung D500 (terrible phone) and I can make and receive calls through it OK but that's about it.
Another thing, I set up the traffic trial which works fine as long as i delete my phone from the tomtom and reinstall it every time i want to use it. It's a pain.
It was something i was going to subscribe too so i emailed tomtom to ask what might be happening, they ignored the question and marked it as answered.... very helpful |

Hi folks,
I've just had the firmware updated on my 6230 to v5.50 (07-07-05) from 4.04, and I now have the address book and Internet\GPRS features, not previously available with the older firmware.
If you have a multi-entry contact, i.e. a name and a Home, Mobile, Office number attached to the contact, you will only be able to see\use the default number.
Works well though. |

Sorry Nich, I can't resist this....
Maybe you could try writing a text message instead!!!
But why would you want to write a text on your GO anyway? Wouldn't that be a touch unsafe? And if are not driving, er, what about using the phone itself? That works on my GO700 / XDA combo just fine. _________________ GO 700 App 6.520 WE Map v568.0

It will make it easier to help you if you told us what phone you have.

The problem is that even with 2 phones the same, 1 will be compatible and 1 won't due to different firmware versions. So it would be hard to get an accurate list. |
