Hello,

I've just bought the Yakumo Delta X from Monty's Sheffield.
Seems like an upgraded Mio 168, with similarities to the Mio A201 with Mini USB and flush mounted antenna.
But, I cant find a car kit for it, I want one where the charger cable goes into the holder, not the pda (will be easier for the constant in and out of the work van!)
I can find then for £39.99 for the Mio 168, but thats a different charger connection (thin, flat, with lock tabs) I think the Mio 168 connection is better than Delta X/Mio A201 mini-USB, this for me will probably be the first thing to get damaged with regular usage.
Can anyone help?

Also, more importantly.........

I loaded TT5 onto a 512MB Integral SD card with regularly freezes TT, usually within a few seconds of launching the app, and locks up the pda, but the moment I release the card the app and the pda un-freeze.
I then tried another brand new 512MB Integral card, same thig happened, freezing, locking up, but to a lesser extent.... If I put the same card into a friends HP 1710, no problem? I tried a friends genuine tom tom 128MB card loaded with TT5, works fine in my Delta?
So potentially, the Delta has compatibility issues with some cards, which doesn't sit comfortably with me, considering the card is ok with HP1710.
Also the card froze TT5 on a friends new Delta 300 (same as Mio 168)

So at this stage don't know whether to take the PDA back and stay away from Yakumo, are PDA's usually funny with some SD cards?

I was thinking of spending the extra £40 on the Mio A201, but may have the same it trouble considering this mini-USB connection?

Help.

Thanks

Ron.

Have you got the LATEST ROM version, you can get it from here

http://www.yakumo.com/service/?pid=555&aid=193&ag=12&back=1
make sure you get the ENGLISH version & I suggest you print the instructions before commencing to blow the new version, I have a Delta X 9also got it from Monty's) & i was ready to throw it back at them, until i did the upgrade, now it is brilliant with TT5
hope this helps

Hi Jaykay,

I am also having exactly the same freezing problem with TT5, which is cured by popping out the 512Mb SD card!

Did the firmware upgrade work for you?

I am convinced that the write protect tab might have somthing to do with it, as I set it to unlocked, but the device sets it to locked again!
