Well, the geodesy is hard wired in already as here...
and I have used a printed MS Autoroute map and the Garmin 12map in a tankbag numerous times in the past........but I have just ordered TT5 for my P910i. As soon as it arrives, I'll try it in the tankbag too or maybe on the suction mount!!!!!! :o
I somehow doubt I'll be able to hear it over the yoshi but I'll see if the screen can be read easily. Time for the P910 flap to be removed I think!

Careful with the suction mount, bikes vibrate a hell of a lot. Make sure it's tied on if you do. 8O
Nice machine. 8) What'll it do, mister? _________________ Gone fishing! |

I presume you have the 1000 then, not the 6 or 7 and a half. _________________ Gone fishing! |

It is indeed a thou, bought from those excellent people at Verwood (home of Crescent Rizla BSB Suzuki). Have a look at www.gsxrthou.co.uk if you're bored. I have some vids on there of which the 162 shot was taken (mini DV taken onto memory stick by the camcorder), it is staggering how fast the bike kicks from 40-odd to 150/160 on odiham straight!
I did log it on the 12map but the video explains it better! |

Dandy, I'm fairly sure that 4th and it's on standard gearing. I'll check the mpeg and see.
Sparky, I thought I'd put the music on to stop the half-bikers getting bored. The yoshi comes through though, doesn't it?! I have some footage of the bike at Donington Park recently, however quiet day and the std exhaust had to go back on! :-( so I'll do no music on that one.
Used the P910 to navigate around the M25 to go to Brands for the last BSB of the season. Worked well in the tankbag, not getting wet even in the downpour on Sat whilst coming back from qualifying. Battery life on the bluetooth GPS receiver was fine, however the P910 running bluetooth and TT5 with backlight lasted 2 hours only. I do have a cigarette lighter socket mounted under the rear cowl so time to sort a lead from that to the tankbag I think!
I'll do some pictures of the setup soon...

Used the P910 & TT5 today to go to Foxes Diner. It worked really well and used a road I hadn't been on before. Well, it worked well until some idiot in front in a mondeo started waving his hand at the speed limits whilst pulling away from me doing 40-45 in a 30 zone - clown! I missed the turning as I was watching him!
That and the touch screen deciding that the tank bag was touching it and asking for a new destination.
Worked all the way to Brands last weekend for the last BSB, however M40 & M25 isn't much of a test!
Pics soon.... |
