How do I get a Longditude/Latitude from my Etrex Summit? At the moment I just get a (OS) Map Reference. Its not clear to me how I find the Long/Lat reading.

If it's like my Etrex Venture (which it probably is) then you go to the Setup menu, select Units, and set the options you want. Remember to select the correct datum as well as the display format.

For OS map references: Position Format = British Grid and Map Datum = Ord Srvy GB.

For lat/long you'll want one of these Position Formats:
hddd.ddddd° (decimal degrees)
hddd°mm.mmm' (degrees and minutes)
hddd°mm'ss.s" (degrees, minutes and seconds)
and Map Datum = WGS84.

If you're not sure which position format to use, post an example on here and say where you're getting it from and someone should be able to help. If you're doing geocaching for example it'll be degrees and minutes.

Best wishes
