Does anybody know when ver5.2 or whatever it may be called is due?
In fact do TT actually admit they are working on a 'fix' for the numerous bugs?
It seems that 5.1 addresssed very few 'real' issues. _________________ HTC Desire S - Vodafone

Oh that sounds ominously like PDA users are going to be left out inthe cold - even though there is a healthy list of "issues" and "undesirble features" |

Has there been any comment at all from TomTom regarding the list of 5.1 bugs you started?

I don't like it, but it's understandable.
If somebody was truly bored to tears, they could sit down and work out how many permutations of PDA's and GPS devices and operating systems there are. Add in the software variations possible on PDA's and the mind boggles. and then do the same for mobile phones!
I still think that TT CS could be a lot better, but imagine running support for all that.
My original question was to try and get a feel for TomTom's attitude to the PDA and mobile phone market in the future.

The list was started with 5.0, remember? TomTom told me they know the list but they gave no commitment whatsoever that any of the items mentioned there will be dealt with. (except for the processor hogging - they acknowledged that as an issue and told me they are working to improve the code). _________________ Lutz

That's just crazy - they release a piece of software that blantantly does not work given certain combinations of hardware - and it is not limited to one or two reciever brands - it is a large number - don't seem inclined to fix it - won't refund money - and I can't see anyway to go back to a previous version - I have asked but got no reply - so all-in-all they took the money and ran |

Assuming a May/June release which is what it has been in the past that is about 8 months away - to wind up support on TTN PDA after 4 months and because it is too hard to support all the various platoform combinations is a cop out |

i was being sarcastic ,like i said i am happy with my tomtom , it does need a bit more tweaking but thats all i want ,i've been a user since tt2 and the updates then used to be more frequent than now _________________ TomTom 5001 |
