Not really
I do have a questiona
I found a mount that used the proclip mount (they came together for £35) does the proclip mount attach physically to your mount - i.e how do you remove the mount from the proclip? Is that how normal proclips work or are they attached to the mount, my plan would be to go between 2 cars - is this possible?

tals,
There is a small dovetail shaped plastic/aluminium spigot that fits to your proclip. This is permanent. The new mount slides on the dovetail & is locked in position. When you want to remove the TT + docking shoe, you simply slide upwards and it is off, a 2 sec job.
Just noticed the dovetail brkt didnt download, I will investigate.

I'll do it properly this time:-
Above is the bracket which is permanently screwed to the proclip
Above is a side view of the TTG + Docking Shoe + new Mount
Above is the whole thing mounted in a Mk5 Fiesta
Above should be the whole thing mounted in a Megane.
The mount is easily transferrable between as many cars as you like, like I said its about a 10 sec job assuming the cars are next to each other.

tals,
The Brodit clip is fine, but your docking shoe will be permanently on display in your car. I thought this was what you wanted to avoid?

Can you resize your images please, preferably no wider than 350 pixels please.
Brodit do a mount that is very similar to this, does yours offer anything new? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hello Darren, sorry about the pics, how would I resize them they are on imageshack?
Which Brodit mount are you referring to?

I think he was referring to the previous images - not your current images which are excellent. I don't think these forums have an edit function - so its no use making such a request .
Back to topic.
I believe this is what is being referred to
Does yours have any benefits over this?

Brodit have Move Clips which are essentially low profile versions of your dovetail and also a selection of TomTom GO mounts, see here.
Combining both would give the same solution that you have.
I use Brodit ProClips all affixed with Move Clips. Removing the cradle/mount leaves only a very unobtrusive ProClip with one half of a Move Clip affixed. As these are also not on the windscreen they do not attract attention. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hi Darren,
Yes, it would appear that quite by accident, I appear to have come up with a similar system.
Therefore to answer your previous question it doesnt offer anything new apart from it being a much cheaper and more robust option, I suspect.
