I have a brand new 6515, it is sopt on for everything I need except the GPS, it seems unable to cope while driving around housing estates, it thinks I have turned when I haven't or not turned when I have. It seems to have a good signal all the time. I believe the problem is one (or none) of the following, but I don't have the knowledge to be sure can anyone help?
1. Could it be that the quick gps program that gives it a fast lock is causing the problems by trying to re lock constantly and confusing it.
or
2. When I set it up the reciever is obviously a wired one, and you can set the baud rate, it is set to maximum by default. By lowering the baud rate might that improve the comms between the reciever and the device?
Or is it just a pile of doo doo that just does not work? _________________ o2 XDA Stellar

I think it's none of these. Your receiver may be set to an unfavorable mode. Best would be to verify that with an external BT receier.
Have you tried a factory reset of the GPS receiver yet? (NOT of the Pocket PC!)
The 4800 baud rate is perfectly enough to transmit all necessary data - no need to set it to a higher speed. _________________ Lutz

I know. Use a program like WinFast navigator to perform a factory reset _________________ Lutz

Lowered the baud rate, there is a slight improvement but not great. Tried the suggested program but it does not seem to detect my configuration??? _________________ o2 XDA Stellar

*UPDATE*
The device suffered a hard reset for some reason. However upon re installation tomtom works better. It lags about 5 secs behind my 4150 setup, but generally does not miss my turns or turn when I haven't. It is not perfect but better.
What could be causing the lag? Is it that the 6515 just can't cope with the info from the gps reciever? If so what can be done to fix it?
Any thoughts/ideas appreciated _________________ o2 XDA Stellar
