Bought my X30 (624mhz) with Tom Tom 3 early this year........bit upset that I have now needed to pay for an upgrade to get latest maps etc....still postcode seemed like a good idea.....!

Currently despite downloading 5.1 the unit dumps me out of Tom Tom into the Dell front screen............I have had the unit run for just over an hour without any problem? Other times it will dump me 6 times in a couple of mins. I have been on Dell's site to look for possible upgrades (only one available is self diag) having run this the PDA seems to be fine! I have deleted most files on the PDA but still no improvement!

Likewise I find that the ZIP (postcodes) do not work as full postcodes and have even folowed advice that the zip file need to be placed within the device directory............it failed totally following this.

I have had it suggested taht it could be my SD card speed (how do you tell the speed) but I use two totally different makes but Tom Tom is the same?

Also I have loaded the speed cameras into the POI's and whilst the database works well I get red squares rather than camera pictures....!

VERY FRUSTRATED as I'm not a computer whizz and feel that the upgrade should be far easier to use and instal than it has been.

Crying or Very sad

Postcode problem is easy to solve, place an empty folder called tomtom on your sd card, the postcodes will then work.

The red square means that TT can't find the .bmp associated with the cameras. You have to copy both the .ov2 and .bmp for each camera type.

The tomtom and zip folders have to be at the same level, on the SD card,.as the Map Folder.
