Hi Guys. Price aside, which is the best PDA in your opinion for a bluetooth GPS set-up with TomTom ?
Got to have WiFi, Bluetooth (Doh), NO build-in GPS, and not too heavy.
Been looking at the Dells, Fujitsu's, Ipaqs and so on but can't make my mind up. I know that if I wait a little bit I would be able to buy something better probably with a hard drive, but can't wait as need to buy a few for work now.
So what do you think? _________________ Toshiba e750 wifi + Belkin Bluetooth CF card

Thanks guys
Donald - I've read a little about the Axim 50 - says it's heavy and got some problems with the screen resolution. Is that correct? Does it work well with TT5? _________________ Toshiba e750 wifi + Belkin Bluetooth CF card

Definately NOT a 2210 - nothing but unreliability, build quality is also pretty poor. |

No way can the Axim X50 be called 'heavy'. It is quite slim. I am more than happy with the general performance, both as a PDA and as a GPS unit. As a pda, I use it extensively for addresses (512 names/addresses/phone numbers) Appointments and reminders, a note pad AND a very good MP3 player. I have a play in 'Pocket Words' and the same play as an MP3 file. (I'm learning the words.)
It's predecessor, an Axim X5 was thicker and heavier but still a darn fine machine - I still have it! _________________ Axim X50 & TT5, Arkon CM820 powered mount with built in sirf2 gps

I am happy with my Ipaq 6340. It has built in quad band mobile phone as well as BT and Wifi. It is quite heavy but lighter than carrying a PDA and seperate phone. It works well with TT5 and my Parrot 3300 combined BT car phone kit and sat nav receiver. |

Hmmm. My 2210's been dropped, sat on, p****d on by the dogs, dropped again, abused digitally, dropped once again, and had a glass of red wine spilled on it (at least it was a Margaux) and generally had a hard time. All that in less than 12 months. And it's still going strong (bound to break down now I've said that, though!)
But read the forums - which PDA has the least probs with TTN5.1, various jackets, differing GPS receivers? Maybe the 2210 just doesn't appreciate poor spelling ("definately"?????)
Doesn't have WiFi tho'. Good luck in your search. _________________ Garmin 2360LT

The build quality of the h2210 is up to the usuall good standard of Hp, so can only assume Ollie is new to the Pda seen. The h2210 has always been viewed as the best price/performace Pda of it's time, now however I would go for the hx2410 as this would appear to be an up todate replacement.
It's not the fastest Pda, just very good value for money.

Got a Dell Axim X30i and it works a treat with TT5 and the POI downloads from this site.
Has 624 mhz chip and an SD slot. I keep my TT5 maps on one and MP3 music on a couple of others.
highly recommend it

Totally Biased as I just upgraded to this but
Ipaq 6515, GPS built in and its stunning with the Ipaq quick connect facility it has a connection by the time tomtom starts, also works in a lot of places normal GPS just does not.
£420 but for that you get
Ipaq with built in Quadband Phone, GPS Built In, 1.3Mpixel Camera, Just superb
