Just a side note. Not all OGG files in a given DATA.CHK are usable, some of them are compressed/encrypted. But that's not much of an issue since you want to replace them anyhow. ( It only becomes a slight issue when you want to convert a DATAxx.CHK file back into WAV files for TTN3. But again that's mostly academic).
I hope everybody is aware that this tool will have to be used again when you are upgrading to newer TTN versions. _________________ Lutz

Thanks for the app Ray,
Just one question, When a text message is recieved on my 700, it gives a "mobile" warning. Do you happen to know whether it is possible to isolate the warning and give it a sound of its own?
Thanks

Thanks again, Ray - it works like a dream. I'm now the proud owner of a unique set of warning sounds!
When I next upgrade the firmware on TTG, do I simply have to extract the ttn file from ttsystem in the new version, and use it with my existing (modified) data.chk file to produce a new ttn and data.chk? Hopefully the program will remember the current text descriptions and .ogg files - so it should only be a 5 minute job? _________________ Roger

Find an ogg sound you want to use for the text message save as smsreceived.ogg and put in the root of your sdcard. You can do the same for the ringtone- ringtone.ogg _________________ Ray

As with current warning sounds you will have to rebuild the new data.chk and extract the new ttn But the app will only work with current firmware so will have to be updated when released. _________________ Ray

I'm currently on 5.200
Presumably I could go to 5.201 by the route I suggested if I wished?
[Not quite sure what is in 5.201 that's not in 5.200 - is there anything of benefit to a Classic?] _________________ Roger

Yes you can.
The program works on TTGO 5, 5.1, 5.2, 5.201, & 5.202 also TTN 5 & 5.1
If you load a file it doesn't recognize it will show " ....does not appear to be a TomTom file. " _________________ Ray

The only apparent difference is that there is a menu item in Setup that allows you to Backup the whole SD card, rather than use Explorer.
TT said there where a number of other 'improvements', but haven't found them. _________________ Richard

Don't think I'll bother with 5.201 then - I always back up manually rather than relying on TT's routine. _________________ Roger
