Has anyone found a right angled double socket adapter that fits the cigar lighter. I have bought 3 different makes and none fit, the appear to be to long at the tip. If anyone can point me in the right dirrection I would be obliged. Hard wire is not an option for me as the vehicle is on lease from Mobility. |

Thanks Sparky, but I have bought three from various places and unless I can get confirmation that it fits the Zafira I ges I will wait. You can't tell if they fit from a picture. |

Maplin do a 2way and a 4 way.
The two way is a cigar plug, with a two way splitter attached which is adjustable over 180 degrees
http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?ModuleNo=42894&doy=8m9
The four way is just a simple cigar plug, with a lead running to a distribution block (allowing you to mount it away from the geat stick / centre console)
http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?ModuleNo=42895&doy=8m9
I've found Maplin staff to be very helpful when I've been there and if you ask, they'll probably let you try the thing in the car before you buy it. |

Hey satsam
Is the zafira not a standard size lighter thingy then? When i had a ford escort i bought a double deluxe cigar lighter thingy for my handsfree phone and the other side for tomtom now got a c-max and same double lighter thingy works in that one as well.
I must say when it was new had to force it a bit to get in,now it well worn get it in easy now |

Sparkey it looks like any other one, but an accesory shop told me today that a lot of these plugs are not fitting the new cars. They don't go in far enough to grip.
Antoeknee I can't tell by a picture as I have said I bought 3 different ones and they don't fit also non returnable because they have been opened.
Cheers |

Difference here is the bit that coes in the socket is in a 1m cable and the 3 sockets are in a unit you can mount where you like. |

hey satsam
i had the same problem with my new zafira, in the end i bought a four into one from a maplins type store and used a piece of lollipop stick to keep it in for a three week trip abroad
Not an ideal situation but it got me out of trouble so if you find a proper fix let me know |

Thanks to all for their help, I now have a double adapter which I got at Blockern Car Boot sale (In Glasgow) that fits ok.
Cupydstunt the make is "Marksman double socket receptacle" and it rotates 90 degrees.
I think the difference is the spring steel clips, on most they are about 3/4 inch long and unless the nose of the addapter is short they won't go far eneogh in the socket for them to grip.
The steel clips on the one I am using are roughly 3/8 of a inch long. This is my opinion of course. |
