hi Dave
Yes I meant 3.7
I'll try the arm file tomorrow and do another post here. I did try installing the file from the downloads as well but got the same result. I'll try the one from Leadtek site first as it seems to be newer, if it don't work I'll try yours.
Thanks,
regards

The one on the leadtek site is newer, but it has a problem where it won't auto-detect your settings so if you start switching to SiRF, you've got to be careful and need to know what settings to use. This is why we hold the older verison. |

Dave
That worked fine thanks, haven't tried it with gps in the car yet but should be OK.
One thing not related to this, when I decided on the Leadtek 9532 the only thing that bothered me about it was the colour, cyan doesn't really fit in with black dash etc, however when it arrived the colour was a very dark metallic blue which fits in well.
Thanks again
regards

Hi
I ordered a Leadtek 9532 from TDC and got it today with Dell Axim & USB cables. Downloaded Winfast from Leadtek site & installed on PC running Windows 2000, got fix from 5 sats on window sill, all OK. Autoroute 2003 gets GPS position info & data OK.
Tried to install Winfast CE (from same PC to Dell Axim), get a message saying must have Activesync installed (I have ver 5.7), window box pops up and promptly disappears, Winfast CE won't install. Tried with PPC connected & not connected, haven't tried restarting PC, shouldn't need to but will try anyway.
Anybody got any ideas what to do? |

Update
Restarting didn't work
Installed Activesync 3.5 on another PC with W2K and that wouldn't work either.
Does anyone know if Winfast CE works? or can be installed from W2K (SP3)? |

I presume you meant 3.7 before ? Your best bet is to download the version on our downloads page and extract them out of the ZIP file. Copy the ARM cab file to the Pocket PC and then in File Explorer on the Pocket PC, tap the ARM file and this will install it and put a copy on the start menu.
I've hard of others having issues with this on the Dell Axim, I'm not sure why it's happening, but it should install okay. This is more of an ActiveSync issue though. |

This problem seems to be caused by not having Activesync installed onto the C:\ drive. Just make a copy of the active sync folder to the location C:\Program Files, and it seems to solve the problem of the software not finding it. |
