if you click on the start button, you will see icons for the last 6 applications used, assuming your primary use for the Mio is satnav, there will always be an icon in that bar. failing that, there are a number of third party applications that will organise what you use, and what is displayed on your screen, such as journal bar.
Hope this helps

You could try something like SPB Pocket Plus - personally, I can't live without it. It has lots of extra features, but I'm guessing the ability to arrange icons/shortcuts on the today screen is what you're after.
You can get a trial here: http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=6846 |

This worked for me (Mio168RS) and basically follows the text in the manual at pg38:
1. Navigate to File Explorer either from the Start menu or from the Programs page.
2. Select the Storage card icon at bottom of screen (icon next to ppc icon).
3. Using the stylus, press and hold on your NAV application (it shopuld be ~ 1.5 MB) to open the context menu and select Copy.
4. x back up to Start screen and press Start to select File Explorer once more.
5. Make sure you're in the ppc and not the SD by selecting the ppc icon at bottom of scren.
6. Open the My Device folder and then the Windows folder.
7. Finally, open the Programs folder and find an empty space on that screen (wait for it to develop).
8. Pess and hold to open the context menu and then Paste the application.
You should now see your NAV application on the "Desktop".
Works for me! Sorry for the lengthy post. :D |
