Hi all
I am worried that I am going to have problems using TTN5 on my Mio 168 as I have an athermic windshield (Volvo - V40 I think). Any smart ideas?
Much appreciated! |

If your Volvo is affected then you will either have to use the external antenna (if supplied, some bundles include it, others do not), obtain an external antenna or use a re-radiating antenna. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Pretty sure my V40 didn't have an athermic windsheild. Aren't they meant to have the very thin wavy wires in them? It definitely didn't have any of those.
Cheers,
Steve. |

| Those 'wavy lines' are the heater elements found in heated screens. Athermic windscreens are simply coated to reduce UV and heat from the sun. Many cars have them these days although by no means all and I haven't heard of Volvo's being one of them although it can always change. _________________ Darren Griffin |
