I have TT5 running on a Mitac Mio 168.
I used it on a recent holiday in the UK and experienced a few problems.
I drove along the motorway, and, after a while the map showed less and less information until it was only showing the road I was on. For example, it stopped showing adjacent roads, then it didn't show all the roads at motorway junctions, then it stopped showing all the roads at junctions, then it gave up reporting junctions at all. Finally it crashed. This happened about 4 times on a 4.5 hour journey.
It is almost as if TT5 found it harder and harder to keep up as the journey progressed. To compensate it showed less and less map detail until it gave up and finally crashed. It wasn't as if I was going that fast as I was towing a caravan!
Once on holiday, TT5 crashed frequently and after one crash I lost my favourites and home location.
I am using a legal, registered version of the software.
Any ideas what's wrong please? |

What other software are you running? I used to have a power manager running but found it leaked memory like a sieve causing TT to crash after about an hour. Since removing the power manager TT has not crashed once. |

The only other software I've installed is Sprite Backup and AvantGo. |

I had TT5 stop updating the map, but the voice commands continued after an hour of useage. Also my 4700 was running realy hot. A soft reset got it gong normally again. Not running anything else at the time.

I've seen the lack of detail problem once. It was on a long(ish) journey running v5.0, but I did also use IE with TomTom open, and returned to it, and assumed that this caused the problem.
Cheers,
Steve. |

Install 5.1. This fixes (most of) the issues you have. _________________ iPhone5, TomTom, Google maps, Navfree, Viewranger and Apple Maps (ekk) |

Sorry mate, that's bull poo !
TT5.1 fixed only 1 bug for me, total freeze/crash using VGA on an Axim x50v. All the other bugs, far too numerous to list here, are still present and un-fixed. TT5 is pants whichever way you look at it ( IMHO ) |
