Is there much difference between the S60 & S90 versions of TTM? Are the graphics any smoother or faster to update? Does it use the same maps as the S60 version?
I had been thinking of upgrading my 6600 to a 6630, but I'm increasingly tempted by the 7710...any opinions on the device would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks. |

I have the Nokia 7710 and genuine TT5, It works great now that i have a genuine Tom Tom gps receiver ( The 7710 will NOT work with any another receiver ) There is also no patch for this version.
The only difference between the s60 and s90 versions are the touch screen function and the fact that it is merely different files for the s90 operating system.
The rest of the program, maps etc are the same the only thing changed is the TTMobile folder.
PM me for info |

Why won't it work with other GPS recievers ? Or do you mean it won't work with TT & other receivers ?
Does that mean only TTM5 will work with 7710 ?

ttm5 is only version which will work on 7710 and you can only use tomtom gps mkII. Not third party version. _________________ ttm5 7710, 6600, spv c500 |

maybe due to me only having the tomtom gps unit paired with the phone. Perhaps if another gps unit was paired ttm5 may allow me to select it. _________________ ttm5 7710, 6600, spv c500 |

NO, Tom Tom mobile for for the 7710 will NOT work with any other receiver other than the genuine Tom Tom GPS Receiver
I contacted Tom Tom directly to ask why my bt77 type receiver would not work and their reply was that as TT5 is not available as a software only package everyone that has bought one has got the genuine TT receiver so they did not need to build 'other gps receivers' into the software.
I also asked if the 'patch' that was available for other version would work and i was told it would not. I tried it anyway but all it did was corrupt the whole program making it unusable. It would not even load.
My friend has got a 6600 with a bt77 reciver and he has the option to choose' other gps receiver' and his works fine so i find it strange just why they have removed this option for the 7710. ( Sell more TT recivers ??) |
