|
|
Just tried Route 66 for the first time on an A1000 using the Dell BT-309 receiver.
Admittedly, only a quick 30 minute drive down country roads and on main roads but it worked fine.
When the suggested route is ignored, (told to turn left but you go straight on) it asks you to turn around.
If this is still ignored, it recalculates a new route almost instantly.
Only if you continue ignoring it will it eventually loose the route.
If you then 'navigate to' your destination, it recalculates a new route.
Regarding Speed Cameras, Route 66 cannot currently import the database.
The fix is to have nhgps running in the background with the database loaded in that.
You do not need any maps installed in nhgps, just the speed camera database.
You know what......it works.
Route 66 gives you audible and visual directions and nhgps gives audible speed camera warnings.
What more can you want? |

www.nhgps.com for software.
www.think3g.net for maps for nhgps, points of interest and speed camera database.
Note, nhgps in NOT navigation software. It a location program which is very good. You can however pre-plan a route and add it to your maps and then 'follow the route' as you drive or walk. |
