Hi,
Here is the answer you need, it seems mad but only way to get to work.
Select "Change preferences"
Select Preferences 4 of 6
Tap "Show GPS Status"
Tap "Configure"
Here is the odd part
Select "Other Cable NMEA GPS"
GPS baud rate = 4800
Done
Now select your Bluetooth Serial Port.
Good luck and happy nav'ing

I use a SysOnChip CF 256 antenna with my iPAQ 2210. I have recently upgraded from TT3 to TT5 and having used the 'other NMEA' and 4800 baud settings during the upgrade have had no problems.
"No GPS device' appears on first starting TT5 (even though the SysOnChip is clearly showing a fix with a solid, non-flashing, LED but disappears after ten seconds or so.
Feel free to ask me to check anything else such as precise version numbers of anything if you wish. |

I've had absolutely no problems with my SysonChip CFPlus. What I think your problem might be is that your GPS device may be in SIRF mode, I don't think Nav5 is SIRF compatible. If you have your SysonChip driver disc, it has instructions in powerpoint format on how to change from SIRF to NMEA. Then you can use the method above to set your tomtom up. |
