Hi Tim,
I know you have mentioned previously on the forums that the maps from SmartST V2 will work on SmartST V3. However, after upgrading to V3 with previous V2 maps on internal and SD memory, the maps do not show up. When I go to Main Menu --> Settings --> Maps --> Internal Memory, I can see 1. (V2) Southern England, but it is in red and I cannot select it for some reason.
Any advice?
Thanks!

Try deleting the existing V2 maps and then reinstalling them. _________________ Tim |

Hi Tim,
Thanks for the quick response!
I've used V3 to remove the countries, but how do I install them back with V3? I've inserted my V2 map CD into the CD-ROM drive, but it keeps asking for a version 3 map CD. How can I get it to recognize my V2 map CD?
Thanks! |

Hmm, I'm at a bit of a loss. I have successfully used V2 maps with V3 software on my PocketPC and was told by Navman that it is designed to work that way across all of their products.
It might be worth contacting Navman Tech. Support on 01293 780500. _________________ Tim |

Maybe the PocketPC and the iCN are different? Maybe V3 for the iCN does not let you use the V2 maps? Like I said, I have the iCN 630...
Anyway, thanks for your help. Let me know if anyone has ideas...
Cheers! |

I like to know if I can use v2 maps on V3 as well.
I have both 630 and 510, 630 v2 shows more locations in my area then the V3 map on 510.
Then again, maybe I shouldn't do this. not sure if it's legal under navman license agreement. |
