Anyone ever tried this?
Is it even possible?
I'd like a dashmounted 6" LCD screen ideally. |

It is possible if your PDA has VGA out.
Current models with such feature include Toshiba (e744/8xx), Fujitsu (7xx), Axim (X50v). _________________ Pc-Mobile

I thought that generally these VGA outs only worked with software that supported them - bascially just presentation software. If you read reviews that seems to be the case anyway..
Are there any PocketPC emulators for PCs that could run an app like TomTom and a GPS mouse? |

No not correct.
VGA out means whatever is on the PPC screen can be displayed on external monitor. _________________ Pc-Mobile

I've been playing around with the 'community preview' of Microsoft's Device Emulation Platform. This seems to be what I'm after..
If I had a touch screen LCD montior I could control the PC (running a PocketPC emu and Tomtom) with my finger, in the same manor as I control TT with my stylus.
If I did get PPC with a VGA out, I'd still need to use the stylus on the PPC not the monitor.
It's not very quick though, this emulator. :S |
