How did you do this, I have a TTG classic and cannot find any splash files in the root directory.
Does this replace the red hands symbol?
What file is the red hand symbol filed under?
Cheers

There is a file in the root directory of the ttg called splash.bmp. The size of this file is 240 by 320 pixels and the size is 226KB. All you need to do is to create your own image the same size and replace the original file. |

There isnt one on the clasic unless you put one.
Ever since v5 there has been an option to install the tomtom one on the update instaler.
no need for this tho just make one 240x320 pixels. make it on its side tho then TTG rotates it by 90degres. |

If you dont have a splash.bmp in the root folder of the GO then just copy a suitable image there, and this will be displayed when the GO starts up and shuts down. _________________ Mike Barrett |

Thanks for the quick replies chaps, it looks as though mine was OK all along.
I dont think I gave it enough time to save/load up.
All now OK.
Cheers again! |

I copied one of the files from the web link above into the root folder on my TTG and renamed it splash.bmp.
When I start the TTG I still get the hands logo? |

Do not see the point of altering the splash file, its only there for a moment then your navigating. |
