Urban Road Setting = Here's the best way I can describe it, If I was to plan a short journey in my town of East Kilbride to an area within East Kilbride.
ie, 1 Telford Road to 26 Dunbar Hill.
If I had it set on Urban Roads Maximum less often, it would take me along telford road and down another road and one more before cutting accross an "A" road onto a roundabout and then some 4 more small roads until i get to Dunbar hill, whereas maximum more often Directs me onto an "A" road at once from my house (using Quickest setting at max) and only taking 2 other smaller roads.
I have mine set at maximum More Often, it saves the 510 guiding me up little back streets and through "Housing Schemes" and directs me on to any "A" roads on the route.
Its all down to trial and experiment, why not do a trial on demonstration mode with two addresses and see how you get on.
Did that help , answers on a postcard. _________________ 2 x ICN-510 units now, 1 USA Unit and 1 UK Unit. Both working great and set up to perfection.
..............Route Type
Quickest.......Maximum Left.
Preference for Motorways & Freeways...More Often......Maximum Right.
Preference for Urban Roads

If you don't feel like sitting around waiting for it to complete the SIM mode, the easier option is to create the route using whatever settings you want, then go to Route Information/Show route. |
