|
|
Hi all.
I remember seeing somewhere an article with reference to HOW to add new Speed Cameras to your Tom Tom ie the POI enroute whilst driving.
I use to have the IPAQ and TT Nav 3 with POI Edit, and a few others.
When i saw a new camera it was easy. Just add to the unit then update direct via IPAQ and internet.
Seems very long winded on the TTG 300. I can't seem to do it right. As i select add POI then GPS LOCATION but by time thats done - i have gone past the camera.
I wanted to store it on the TTG 300 and then somehow update it to the internet or email it as i have seen suggested.
There was an idiots guide on how to save the Pocket GPS to TTG 300 and sure i saw an idiots guide on how to save to TTG 300 by adding POI then updating to Pocket GPS.
Would appreciate a helping hand please.
Also:
How would i create a Collection of POI points. I know many ppl have created them as i use many of them, however many are incorrect and i wanted to either correct them or get a list of (For example) Police stations and convert the addresses etc as a set of POI i guess by OV2?
Again any help would be gratefully appreciated.

The only way is to stop next to the camera and then log it on the GO. _________________ TTG 720 with TT Home edition 2.0

You can change the layout of you menu so that add POI button is on the first page of the Main Menu and I'm sure somebody will soon devise a way for a one-touch addition. |

It's a bit quicker (ie less button presses) to save it as a favourite and then convert the favourite to a POI later, when you have time to do it safely. I have set up a new POI category called New Cams, so that when I've collected a few additions/corrections, I can just send the ov2 file off to Richard. |

I have changed the menu so browse map is on the first page. When I see a cam that isnt in the database I go onto browse map then press thi icon to center map on location as I pass it. I can then pull over at a beter location and save it.
Or even beter get a pasenger to do it. |
