If you read the Navigon pages in this forum, you will see that most people who write in are very dissatisfied with Navigon 5. They say it is MUCH slower than Navigon 4, and extending the map coverage to Europe is very expensive. You would do well to read that forum thoroughly before committing yourself
There are lots of problems with TomTom, but most others appear far worse!

I have just had the opportunity to try Navigon 5 on my PDA in place of TTN5. The major problem is the speed of operation both in the menus and in the route calculation. This is the main cause of most peoples dissatisfaction. If Navigon can address this with the update they are supposed to be working on then there would be a strong case for using it in preference to TTN5.

The routing is much better than TTN5 and seldom uses unclassified roads. With a small adjustment it will avoid virtually all unclassified roads except when absolutely necessary. With TTN5 I spend most of the time putting in avoids and trying to persuade it to use main roads.

With Navigon I can enter the start and end point and rely on a sensible route being generated.
