Hello guys new to this forum and SatNav so hope you more knowledgeable folk can help sort out a couple of problems I am having loading the POI's
Before I found this forum I rushed in as you do and spent €12 registering to receive updates on another site which would appear to be POIWarner's files?, well that's what they came up as in favourites..mug or what??
Well I have now down loaded the files from here, split them up as described (I think) and I can now set up the distances for alerts. I have copied and pasted the wav files and used Khan's bmp's but traffic light cameras won't work?. It worked before with warner but what's the point when it activates along side it!, I wonder if it's the fact I cannot save the Alerts 2 in the correct format?
I cut and pasted as instructions but I cannot save it in the correct type of cvs format, there would appear to be four different types of cvs and the one I want is not there!? When the console converted it said all but three were errors so I didn't download it but still now have the edit feature...I really don't know what is going on.
Next question is more simple and that is is this POIeditor going to cure much of this problem by doing it all for you???
P.S. where are the alert 1&2 bmp's to be found? |

No Sol, nothing come through but my profile was not set up so can you try again?
Progressing slowly with the Acer, the speed type cameras are on but the visual and verbal warning is terrible...you get the first one at 400m then one as you pass the camera!!. The traffic light side won't work at all
It would seem you have to set up the .ini file yourself which I don't think is hard to do but it would be handy if you could test it on the bench as there are no cameras local to me
I think once I get my head round it it will be easy to set up...it's just finding some spare time at this time of year |

Sorry about personal message, I still seem to be having a problem.
I was a bit confused as to wether you were trying to use the csv files on this site or from Warner.
It all sounded rather complicated.
I understand your Acer runs Destinator 3, the unit I have runs Destinator ND. I do not know if there is a difference, but I have imported the pocket gps world csv files into my system with no problems. I have even added additional locations into the csv files and they have imported and worked OK. I have also set up my own alert file and imported that OK. With ND you can set 2 distances for the alert e.g. 400 yds and then 100yds and this works OK.
I am not yet into wav or bmp yet.
It may be I have just missed the point, if so sorry.
