The flashing green light usually means that it's trying to alert you to a notification event or alarm. Have you had any Calendar/Task popup's before powering it off ? If so tap the Dismiss and not Sleep option and it should stop flashing. |

hello dave well first i should thank for your advice on which pda i should go for as you can see it was the ipaq 3970 now i have only had it for two days and as far as i can tell the green light comes on when i plug it into the cradle for activesync but it dosen't go out when i unplug it from the cradle even if i turn it off it still flashes and as far as i know there is no calendar/task on it as i haven't had time to put anythink into it yet. |

Are you sure it's green and not yellow ? The light will go yellow and start flashing which indicates charging, but if it's flashing green it usually means you've got an event/notification that needs to be acknowledged.
With the Pocket PC's, if you've connected it via ActiveSync and have selected to transfer tasks or calendar appointments, and have something set up to notify you of an appointment or task in Outlook, then this will be transferred to the Pocket PC and will notify you there too. |

Hello David yes I am sure it is the green light that keeps flashing sometimes the only way I can get it to stop is to do a soft reset which obviously isn't the best thing to keep doing I did have a look at active sync and I unchecked the task and calendar options and that didn't make any difference but I've noticed sometimes it does go off after a few minutes I have had a look in instruction booklet but could not find anything under the troubleshooting guide.
