For some strange reason I can't seem to use TT5 without it being in Planned route mode. I mean I know the way to my home and various other places without having to plot a route and so use TT5 for the POI alerts ect. But I do not know how to do this, each time I have to plan a route to get TT5 on the go.

Any ideas ??

after you are done with routing, tap on "Clear Route" to switch to cruising mode.

The POI alert can be set to either alert you when a POI is nearby or alert you when the POI is nearby on your route. If you have set them to alert you when on route they will only alert when a route is planned.

The traffic feature also only automatically updates when you are on a planned route.

Please excuse my ignorance but how do you get this "clear route" option? I cannot find it when scrolling through any of the menus.
Thanks
Doug

Hi Doug,
When in the menu on page 2 of 3 there is in the centre two items clear route and view route, both of these items are only highlighted and can be used when a route is planed.
Cheers Mike
