I ordered a Smartclip for a Saab 93 from Handnav on the 9th May. I received the order processed email then........nothing........
I have emailed Handnav three times and no reply...I have filled in the contact form and no reply....I have rang them and constantly engaged....
What is with this company??? If the goods do not arrive by Friday (end of 3rd week) the item will be put in dispute by my credit card company...
Chetan, if you still read these forums, you're getting some bad press...my advice is first off, do not promise things you don't have (3-5 days UK delivery). Secondly answer your phone, thirdly answer your emails!!! |

Update...
Phone call received from Chetan...very polite, explained problems and said I should receive this week...
Will be happy and will repost if and when the item is received.
I must add that Chetan did take responsibility for the delivery problems and did not blame manufacturers so that is admirable... |

To be honest ive never had any problems with them. the only thing most people seem to forget is that Brodit cips mostly have to be ordered in. _________________ Ipaq 3970, Ipaq 2210 X2, Smart ST V1, Tomtom V3+V5, CoPilot V5, AA Navigator, Tomtom Bluetooth GPS, Navman 3450i Jacket, Navman Bluetooth GPS, Holux GM270, Fortuna GPS-PocketXtrack

Can anyone tell me how to get HandNav to answer their phone, or have they gone out of business. I sent my Brodit mount and charger back to them because of a fault. Have waited nearly 3 weeks now no reply to emails and wont answer the phone.
All I want is for HandNav to, ANSWER THE PHONE, and let me know how things are progressing.
Is that too much to ask HandNav, or do you make a habit of taking peoples money and giving bad service. |

Hi all,
My experience with Handnav is mixed. Delivery time for my Mitac Mio168 was next day considering the order went in late the day before. My grip is after two weeks of use the Activesync socket has come off, so now I can't charge it or tranfer any data to it. Contacted Handnav and they said they would get back to me. Three emails from me later and two weeks passing, nothing. Extremely dissappointed, a waste of £360 and I wouldn't recomend this person to anyone. Delivery full marks, Back up service nil point. |

After a week of trying the phone was finally answered, and I was promised an email giving the returns procedure. This hasn't arrived.
I would avoid this company like the plague.
You might be lucky and get your stuff, but why risk it when there are so many other companies that provide a proper service? |
This exactly mirrors my experience.
I ordered what was advertised as a Tom Tom car kit for XDA2s but was sent an inferior qauality 3rd party product which has no connection to Tom Tom whatsoever. A week of constant phoning produced either an engaged tone (obviously lots of complaints) or simply rang until BT timed out the call.
Then sent a message via the site (no e-mail address is provided) & got no reply to that either.
Finally got an answer on the phone & was promised an e-mail with a return - still waiting.
Next step will be a fax (020 8482 0317) giving Handnav a final opportunity to resolve this issue before I raise a formal complaint with Trading Standards for deliberately misdescribing the product.
THERE IS NO GOOD REASON TO TRADE WITH THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. |

It appears that I am adding to a thread which contains the same theme. No response to e-mails (even though I know they have been read) and impossible to contact them by phone either engaged or just rings out for ever.
This is a real shame because the rest of the service provided has been excellent. However it is this area that generates satisfied customers and subsequently repeat orders.
Still waiting to hear from Handnav, and still trying to get through, will keep you all posted of the out come.

HandNav!, Not a company that I will do business with again. My reasons would be the same as many who have added to this thread COMMUNICATION the lack of it.
On each occasion that I had reason to complain I found myself spending ages trying to get in contact with them. E-mails went un-answered, messages on the answering machine were not returned and the rest of the time was spent constantly phoning the number until eventually someone answered (two and half days of phoning) I am also awaiting a refund on a wrong item sent which was returned to arrive with them next day, yet I am still waiting for the refund a week later. Not what I expect when I promptly return goods.
A very annoyed customer
If you are contemplating a purchase be warned. The communication is worse than you can imagine. _________________ HP Ipaq 2210, Brodit Proclip + Active Holder with Tilt/Swivel with Built-in Speaker , Tom Tom Navigator ver3.07 |

Supose I may aswell add to this tho overall I think I have had a good experience.
I ordered a custom mount thinking it was a genuine Tom Tom - it wasn't and was crap (charger lead wouldn't stay in place) so I sent it back as unift for purpose - Handnav wanted to deduct something from the refund but I wanted my own return postage refunded never mind that - end result full refund but without return postages for a product I did not think was up to scratch.
However - since purchased a Brodit mount which arrived without the postage paid so I had to cough up that - having said that it arrived within a few days and when I eventually got an answer at Handnav he knew there has been a problem with postage and the cost was refunded to my credit card there and then. Plus the mounts the business!! :D
So overall fairly happy tho still have a couple of issues. |

I had an ongoing problem with Handnav regarding incompatibility of my Orange SPV M2000 and NavMan Smart ST V3. However all is resolved now and I have been offered an alternative product of my choice which I am quite happy with. There were some problems over the speed of the response from Handnav but it was evident that Chetan was trying to get Navman to respond to his mails and calls. I think this is something that people should bear in mind when complaining about lack of response. OK it can be argued that a mail saying such would be nice but lets bear in mind that while Handnav are doing that, they aren't chasing yours and other problems.
I think the problem overall is that the explosion in sales of GPS related products means that all the manufacturers are poor at responding and it has a knock on effect. It took Navman a week to tell a paying customer their product wasn't supported (and finding a comparison table was at that time almost impossible on their site!). This delays your supplier.
Also, the personal element of HandNav's service comes from it being a small specialist company and what you gain when you buy in the form of informed advice, you have to accept as the reason for a somewhat slower response to issues.
I was at one stage frustrated with the progress of my issues but ultimately the outcome has been productive and handled in a personable way which you won't get from the big suppliers. I guess its a choice you make when you purchase.
I have now recommended to others who are looking to get into this minefield of an industry where it would appear we are beta-testing stuff we paid for!
Get a thumbs-up from me. |

Just to add further to my posts on this thread. Although some may have had positive experiences with this company it should be noted that many haven't. There can be many reasons for delays wrong parts etc, but the bottom line is the customer should always be given acurate information and kept informed. Further more a companies internal systems should ensure that customers details/orders are always to hand and upto date.
I waited 2 months nearly on a refund on a wrong part sent with the claim that it had not been recieved even though Royal Mails tracking system said it had been delivered. Although I have been refunded this money it took several e-mails to provoke a response.
I sympathise with small business, its tough (I have been one for the last 10 years) but its not an exscuse to provide poor service. Small business SHOULD give far better service than the large outfits.
My experience of this company as been so bad that I couldn't possibly not warn others that there is a strong possibility of encountering problems should there be a need to complain.
My last post on this company, the sooner forgotten about the better.
