|
|
I have a new Tom Tom 300 using the latest 5.2 software and have downloaded the traffic cam POI's and modified voice alerts to give more detail lik 'Gatso 30' or such. The POI's all alert in the right places and the voice alert comes on but where its a GATSOor TEMP POI it only gives one voice which ever is selected in the menu of the TOM TOM for voice alerts for that type of POI. It will not indicate that they are in the speed range 40,50 or 60 despite the fact that the screen comes up with a Cam pic and the numerals 30 or such under it. I have just downlaoded the latest version of the modified Voice Commands for the 5.2 version. Have I done something wrong or is this the way it works. Any help that can be given on this subject would be greatly appreciated. My email address is dragon001uk@yahoo.co.uk. Many Thanks. |

You have to go into Manage POI and select Warn When Near. Then as you step through the menus you can select the correct voice for each alert. _________________ Richard

Richard, I have done this through the POI setup but it only allows you to set up one voice function for say Gatso . It does not allow you to set up all the sounds for Gatso like 'Gatso 40' I appreciate that some of the POI's may not have the information as to the speed of that particular cam but having tried it with a know POI that has got the speed in the data as it shows on the screen it still gives the standard Voice as I have set for Gatso. |

You have to go into each and every POI and select a different sound for each one. Reading through your post again, I would hazard a guess that you have copied the main Gatso file from the ov2 and bmp folder as well as the speed zoned files.
You should have 17 files only if you are using the Speed Zoned files, or 5 files if using only the Camera Type files.
Just check how many you have. _________________ Richard

I have downloaded all 17 files into the Great_britain folder and when I do a test of all the diff voice POI's I get all the correct replies as per the list in the downlaod information. Its only when the Tom Tom uses the voice commands in connection with a route it just uses the one name and that is the name I set againt that type of POI . Should I have several lots of POI's loaded in each type like Gatso 30 or is that info picked up from the data when it uses the POI data. |

Do you have the pocketgps_uk_gatso_tba file or the pocketgps_uk_gatso file?

Not sure what you mean by this but you should have one .ov2 file for each cam+speed. |
