I just caught the end of a news article on the BBC this morning which said that the latest paper road maps from the AA are to include the locations of all fixed speed cameras.
Will this have any consequences/benefits for the pocketgps speed camera database?
I heard on R4 news that the AA maps will include popular mobile speed camera sites, as well as fixed camera sites. Of course these maps will go out of date pretty quickly. I update my Origin B2 every week, you can't do that with a printed map.

How do the locations of the speed cameras in the AA Atlas compare to the PocketGPSWorld camera database, and vice versa?

Hmm, if the AA Atlas is accurate, then there’s no reason why people can’t use it to check for cameras that are not on our database and then physically go to the location and capture the precise location and then send in the details to us.
However, we don’t want people just taking the approximate location of a camera from the AA Atlas. Please only submit sites if you have passed them and can personally verify that they exist.
