basically you have to source an English ROM file. Once youve got that its easy enough to update. The tricky bit is actually getting hold of the ROM file which I believe is very hard to get.
If you are in Europe then ring Acer and ask for some support. If you are in the US then you may be out of luck unless you can find the ROM yourself.
I do know of one guy who managed to get it off Acer and I asked for a copy but he never emailed it to me.
Regards

Actually I take that back, here is a link for the Acer n35 ROM files;
http://csd.acer.com.tw/SI/Download2.nsf/HandHeldWeb?OpenView&Start=1&Count=240&Expand=3.1#3.1
The csd.acer.com.tw server is flakey at the best of times so it may take several goes to get the file. It should be around 15mb in size. The link to the English ROM (WWE = World Wide English) has instructions on how to perform the update. It looks like you need an SD card to do it.

Thanks very much for that info. I am trying to download the file now and it is taking a lifetime but will give it a try anyway. |
