The GO 500 delivery dates seem to have slipped again from the promised May and no one seems to be able to commit to a specific date. Does anyone know what is happening or is there a specific problem with this model.

I heard a rumour that there was a problem with sourcing Samsung processors and/or memory. |

Amazon.co.uk says "usually dispatched within 1 to 2 weeks." |

Have a look at this link with regard the Tomtom 500
http://www.mytomtomgo.com/vervolg.php?id=98
And Amazon always say 1-2 weeks when they don't have a specific delivery date........ |

The real reason quite simply is that TomTom received a request for almost their entire stock from Toyota as a rush order for their new model the Ayago, according to reports I have read. As a result there is now little to no stock left of the 500 for the launch to the public. As a result the launch has been delayed with no firm release date.l |

I don't know if it is accurate or not, but Expansys report the expected stock delivery date of my 700 as being "2 days". It's been going down steadily from 7 days last week.
By rights this means I should probably have the thing by the end of the week, if everything goes according to plan.
I'd be happy to post my Expansys tracking URL on here, but I'm just a bit chicken. If someone tells me they're sure it's fine, I'll post it.

Ordered my 500 from Maplin 2 weeks ago, spoke to them on Thursday last week, she said I was halfway down the queue and they had 300 people in the queue. She said they were getting a large delivery today and I should call back :-( I see amazon.co.uk are now showing "due to be released 4th July"

I think the words strung and along are appropriate here. I have already posted in this thread as to why there are none available in this thread. I think July at the earliest is nearer the mark. |

I think the other posters here might be right - it got down to 0 days and then leapt back to 7. I guess they just roll the counter.
Oh well. I suppose I'd much rather wait for a half-decent product than get one early that's not finished.
