Here is my answer from TomTom concerning the USA ver.
Dear Mr *,
The upgrade to Navigator 5 was pushed back to June 18th, 2005. The window for upgrading for free has been extended to 90 days. If you are registered on our website, you will receive an e-mail notifying you of the upgrade. If you have purchased Navigator 2004 you will receive Navigator 5 for free. If you were one of the many who receive a free upgrade to Navigator 2004, the cost of the upgrade will be $49.00 plus shipping and handling. With the upgrade, you will receive a new set of software CDs with updates maps and application.
Kind Regards,
TomTom USA Customer Service |
