EMTAC not work with TOMTOM 5?

I have a EMTAC BT GPS and iPaq 2210. I would like to upgrade to TomTom 5 navigator but fear I may have the same problems I had with version 4 which I abadoned. If I load version 3 I get a 'fix' immediately and have used it across Europe with no problems. But with version 4 I sometimes struggled to get a fix at all and when I did it was very intermittent.

Any help or guidance would be most appreciated.

TTN5 has some better BT management compared to TTN4. I don't have the Emtac so I can't say for sure. But I'd guess it should work.
