That's good news. Click on the order number and it should tell you it's been shipped. I'm still waiting!

I've got a Toshiba E570 which runs TomTom2 really well. However I can't find out if 5 will run on it. I know 5 doesn't work on any Toshiba yet but when I asked TomTom all I got was
Thank you for contacting Customer Support. We are working on achieving compatibility with the Toshiba and Fujitsu Siemens devices by Autumn 2005, although we cannot guarantee that we will achieve compatibility with all models. Currently, we are planning compatibility with these Toshiba models:
E-400
E-740 WiFi
E-740 BT
E-750 WiFi
E-750 BT
E-800 WiFi
E-800 BT
But this is not guaranteed
I dont want to buy an upgrad and find it doesn't work. Has anyone any idea why it won't work.

Hi thankyou for all your replys.
My order (surprise surprise) says "warehouse" still
I ordered my upgrade about 1 pm on the 1st June when the upgrade was first released.
My order number is 544*** or something like that.
Maybe its time to get my complaining hat on...
Has anyone actually got their upgrade yet who lives in the UK??
I'm going to email TomTom and ask them if theres any problems.
Cheers,

I recieved the upgrade this morning via UPS.
Got home this evening and installed on HX4700 but boy have I got problems.
Firstly I am using the latest rom update for the Ipaq.
What ever program I try to run the thing freezes up and the only way to get it working again is to do a soft reset.
Now quite sure what to do.
Has anyone had the same thing happen and does anyone know of a fix. |

I've got a 4700 and TTN5 upgrade. Just finished installing it, but not had any problems with freezing.
What is the rom update you speak of? |

using a hx2750and although it freezes where tt3 was fine it just has so many missing places pois etc its shoddy, complicated to delete unwanted pois its just naff, we the end users should be the beta testers and show the tt5 people how "normal" people use tt5
just updated to latest rom .14 and it still needs rebooting each time tt5 is used then switched off.
terrible release of tt5 |
