exactly the same here mate, tried pairing manually, connecting manually before opening tomtom. tried, configuring it manually within tomtom5.
nothing, just says no valid GPS signal
doesnt look promising for my upgrade at the minute.

try this..
select a normal wired GPS reciever..
then set the baudrate to defualt.
then when it asks you for a port, set it to ur bluetooth port..
on mine thats port number 5
wierd but it should work

Just managed to get TT5 working on my Dell Axim X50v with GlobalSat BT-308. Took a lot of messing but it is working and looks great, it will take a bit of getting used to after TT3. :D |

I have read many problems concerning Bluetooth receivers and TT5. I have struggled and I have about reached the end of the road with mine. I have a Ipaq 2210 and a BT228 receiver. The receiver is brilliant but will not work with TT5. the Bluetooth connection is sound and the signal strength is strong and I have tried all the tips in the Forum but to no avail. I have gone to GPS/Configure/other cable NMEA and tried various baud rates. I have tried all the Ports available but with no luck. On Bluetooth Com 8 I get the small squiggly ball at the top of the screen rotate but still get the words ‘No GPS device’. The Receiver is brilliant and receiving satellite data and sending it to my PDA, but not to TT5. I am not new to PDAs and had TT3 for about 12 months with no troubles at all.
I wish I had kept my Euros in my pocket. |
