I was thinking about getting an Arkon powered mount and speaker for my MDA compact. I noticed there is an extra 5V DC power out can this be used to charge a Fortuna Clip On GPS receiver?
Thanks

If it's the one with the USB socket to provide the power then yes, you definitely can using the lead that came with your device. |

I don't think it is I think it just has a regular power jack. If there one that has a USB port on the side and if so where can I find it?
Thanks

I own the clip-on and have an Arkon car mount. It charges up fine with the cable that came with the mount. Fortuna do say though that your guarentee is invalidated if you use anything but their own charge cable. |

Yep - I have the Arkon since the Seidio I originally purchased was terrible. Anyway, I charge up my Fortuna using the power lead from the side of the unit! |
