I am having a problem with Destinator 3.065 runnin maps from SD card.
Map on SD card (~100 MB and small files as well) do not load as fast as car is moving, the map is laging behind and does not move instantly over the screen but loads certain art of map with considrable delay and so on part by part. So used Destinator is totaly useless. I am having ACER n30 witk 266 MHz.
The problem can be owecom by cuting maps and installing them onto onboard memory of PDA but this allows me to use only ~30Mb map and only one at the same time.
Has anybody came across such a problem and do You have any suggestions. I am using 512Mb Sd card, also other cards I have, seems to produce similar case, so it is not the SD card that is the BAD part in this.
Any suggestions are elcome! |

I'm using 3.0.75 on a 512MB SD Card on a Toshiba PDA and it works fine; no lag. Unless something changed with the up-rev, I don't think Destinator is the problem. |

Yes, there seem to be a problem with the exchande of data between the Destinator and SD card. As said, once copied onto the main memory, functioning perfectly, wbut while on SD card - useless. Bad |

Hi KurBads,
I have the same problem. Actually I bought a Acer N30 + Destinator 3 for my friend. The view changing of the map is terribly slow which make Destinator 3 useless while driving. Now I install a Tomtom 3 which works fine now. |

Adsi, do you have any ideas how to overcome the problem except your solution ?
I run BENELUX (95 Mb) map with no great diffculties, but when runing older (believe its 3.025) version where I got whole EUrope, the slowliness come in again ...
Are there any formating tricks for the SD card or some settings to make on the PDA itself? |

Are you running a high speed SD card? I bought a Wi-fi SDIO card with 256mb storage for my Acer N35. The wi-fi piece is great but the maps are very slow to access as the SD card is not a high speed one like the one which comes with the N35 unit. |

yes, high speed SD card, maybee need to reinstall and try again however already few times tried, larger maps seem to be slow but smaller can be ran. |

Hi,
I'm going to use D3 on my Ipaq 2210. The advice I got from easydevices was that using the 2210 with a bluetooth GPS (Polstar PBT-111) requires the maps to be loaded on CF card not SD. Could this be the problem here?
