Does anyone know of a FREE conversion tool from DVD to WMV so i can play them in my medion PPC250?
i have checked download.com, but they are all "try before you buy"

Does it have to be WMV?
I think the (free) Windows Media Encoder does what you want.

NO, but I have tried several, all give different results, some good, some poor, below is just MY personal choice from best to worst:
1. Pocket DVD Wizard - worked with most formats, useful brightness control
2. Pocket-DVD Studio - worked ok
3. PocketDVD - worked sometimes, would not always read the DVD's |

thanks pocketgps, downloaded and registered Pocket DVD Wizard and seems to be working fine. Nice bit of software and not too expensive!

| Try Windows Media Encoder 9 - it's free (download it form microsoft webste)! You can convert from anything to wmv (all you need is to have the corresponding codecs installed). And best of all - you can open the windows media player on your pocket pc and connect to a live VideoStream! |
