Just bought the myguide 6500XL (Lidl) and although it seemed to work fine yesterday today the navigator software is reporting that ' The GPS is not sending any data. Check your GPS settings and connections.' I think I have done this and it says com2 4800 baud, help greatly appreciated. |

It sounds as though another application has control of COM2 or is using the GPS data.
To check this, go to Start>Settings
goto the System tab
Select Memory
Goto "Running Programs" tab
This will tell you what programs are currently running. Select "Stop All". The running programs list should empty. Then close the settings window and re-launch Falk Navigator and try again.
I had exactly the same problem when I loaded GPSDash onto mine. I didn't realize it was running in the background, so when I launched Navigator it gave the same error message you are reporting.
Hope this helps

Thanks RussellS for you're reply
Tried what you suggested , but software still wouldn't communicate with gps tried to run the gps test and it reported a corrupt test file ( think I might have caused this myself by getting in a mess stalling the pda and flicking he switch on the back causing a hard re-boot) in the end I had to delete the program from the flash disk, re-install the program onto the pda from the cd and all is well .
