|
|
Hi
I am travelling to the US shortly and want to take my Navman ICN 510. (Australian sold unit)
I have a friend in the US with one and he has offered me his SD card loaded with US maps while I am there.
Will my ICN 510 work with his SD card or are they linked in some way to the unit ?
I have read that the maps cant be reloaded on another PC but is that just a SmartSR Desktop serial number limitation.
Any thoughts please.

Yes, it should. BUT I should give it a test run before relying on it. _________________ Gee-Pee

Other than what you are proposing is expressly forbidden under the terms of the Licence agreement with Navman, I have no other thoughts on this matter. _________________ Tim |

That is what I should have added! What is possible and what is legal are two different matters. _________________ Gee-Pee

Trade units. There!, now you are all nice and legal.... Sure would be nice if Navman lived up to all their claims. |
