I have saved 27 'Waypoints' within MapSource on my pc and transferred to the Quest. When I look at 'My Locations' on the Quest there are only 22 'My Locations' and the 5 missing ones are the ones that are the most distant from 'Home' (greater than 70 miles although all within the mapped area stored on the Quest). From the Quest map screen if I press 'Find' the Find menu screen is headed 'Find Near Me' - as if the Quest assumes I only want to find places in my immediate locality.

If I centre the map near one of the missing locations then that location is shown on the map (as the symbol and name I gave it in Mapsource) and listed in 'My Locations' and all locations near my home are missing.

Have I a missed a trick here as I can't see an abvious reference in the instruction book - it just tells me I can save 500 'My Locations' without stating anything about a distance filter.

Anybody know the answer...?

This sounds familiar. My GPS-V has two options, "Find Nearest" or "Find by Name".

Somehow, you must be defaulting to Find Nearest on your Quest - have a hunt though the options there must be a way to do a find by name.

Thanks Skippy. If you put up the 'Find' Menu and then press 'Menu' you come up with the option to 'Find By Name' if the heading is 'Find Near Me', or 'Find Nearest' if the heading is 'Find By Name' (along with 'Route Options' and 'Settings'.

Knowing the answer I'll now go look in the instruction book to see if I can find it. It defeated me this morning.
