A new version of TomTom, with updated maps, will be available in the next few weeks. TomTom have still to announce the update details, but it is rumoured that owners of earlier versions will be able to upgrade for 49 euros

Lots of people have 'acquired' the more recent UK map from TomTom GO and used with the TomTom 3 on a PDA. The legality of this is contested. |

There is a copyright issue if you "acquire" TomTom go maps without purchasing the license, however, if you have legally bought a copy of TomTom Go and you therefore have the maps then they are interchangable with TTN3, but if you wait a few weeks then TTN5 will be out with hopefully more up to date maps then TTGo.

The same is true of the GB maps from the HP EOM v4.4 bundle, these are fine with TT3 (I'm using them now).

They do work, traffic activated ok, but the traffic map page wouldn't display problem areas with the TomTom HP v4.4 maps, and it said there were no incidents on route when navigating, when there clearly were. Go work ok with traffic. |
